Full-Print Graphics

We use only the best sublimation fabrics which allows full printing, even on high-abrasion areas such as the shorts. Cheaper sublimation materials are thinner, transparent, and the colors are not as vivid. With Epix full- print designs, you get the most design freedom with the most vivid colors (even neons). Best of all- we offer full- print custom design at no extra charge.

Flat-Lock Stitching

Flat-lock is the standard for tri apparel since it creates the most non-abrasive stitching seam possible. Some companies use an overlocked coverstitch instead of flat-lock, which looks similar but is not the same. An overlocked coverstich seam is easier and cheaper to use in production, but it is not perfectly flat. The fabric overlaps and creates layers, and this is much more likely to cause chaffing along the seam. Flat-lock stitching is more difficult to do, but is perfectly flat and much less likely to cause chaffing along the seams. In order to avoid painful chaffing, it is very important for apparel to have flat-lock stitching; the kind that can be seen on all Epix triathlon apparel.

Zippers

Our YKK zippers are very durable. In addition, an internal flap runs the entire length of the zipper on our tri tops and tri suits. This prevents any chaffing or discomfort from the zipper. We use semi-lock zippers on our tri suits and hidden zippers on our tri tops. Full zippers are standard on all of our cycling jerseys. Our zippers and zipperheads are sleek and minimal. Bulky zipperheads can bounce while running, creating discomfort.

Pockets

We use a wide range of innovative storage solutions for both tri and cycling apparel. We use open-mesh or hidden zipper pockets on all of our tri apparel. This allows water to move through during the swim, thereby reducing drag. Our pockets can therefore be larger than those used by most other brands, allowing more storage space.

Grippers

We use a variety of gripper styles, including:

Gripper tape Super-thin elastic fabric combined with tiny silicon beads ensures shorts stay in place while maintaining absolute comfort. The band has added width which reduces pressure and improves grip. Gripper tape is our most advanced gripper and is used on all of our GoFierce shorts.

Compression legbands A dual layer of soft elastic fabric uses only compression effect to keep the shorts in place. There is no use of silicon. This is the softest, least abrasive gripper in our lineup but also has the least amount of grip effect. Compression legbands are used on our Airflow tri suits and Airflow + Tri shorts.

Intermittent Silicon Leg Grippers Full silicon grippers can be too tight and create pressure. Band grippers without silicon or compression may become too loose (especially after prolonged use) as well as cause chaffing. The combination of intermittent silicon strips with a thinner band allows for maximum stretch while minimizing movement.

Reflectives

We use 3M reflective strips to improve visiblity on many of our GoFierce cycling and winter cycling apparel as well as our GoFierce running lineup.
